William A. Lorenz, Jr. 89, of Canastota, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. He was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary Highschool, LeMoyne College and St. Bernard’s Seminary. William was ordained a priest in 1963 and served the Diocese of Syracuse. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and was a diehard Yankee Fan.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Teresa, sisters, Barbara and Maryanne and brother, Edward.

William is survived by his sister, Patricia (Lawrence) Horton, brothers, Thomas (Patricia) Lorenz, nephew, Tim (Megan) Horton, nieces, Molly (Aaron) Greenbaum and Megan Lorenz as well as grandnephews, Edward "Ned", Patrick, Thomas Horton, and Benjamin Greenbaum.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
