Veronica M. (Finnerty) Bryden died April 22, 2022 following a brief illness. Born in Scranton, she was a graduate of St. Paul school. She was a longtime employee of the Binghamton City School District.

Veronica was predeceased by her husband, Leo J. Bryden, as well as numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter Mara Kinney (John), her two granddaughters, her sister Ann (Finnerty) Donahoe of Scranton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was known for her gingerbread at Christmas, chocolate sheet cake at birthdays, and broccoli casserole at Thanksgiving. She firmly believed in a good vacation, with the Poconos, Cape Cod, and Newport RI among her favorite destinations. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and independent spirit.
