Stanley Kalata, 85, passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2023 in Syracuse. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Constance (Dros) Kalata.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Karen, his daughter, Julie (John) Sheedy and son, Brian (Tracie) Kalata, grand-daughters, Grace and Maggie, and numerous beloved family and friends.

Born in Buffalo, NY, Stanley was a kind and gentle man who was devoted to his family. A lifelong sports fan, he loved spending time gathering at the holidays, bowling, golfing and nothing made him happier than a cold beer and a front seat to watch his beloved Buffalo Bills.

Our family would like to thank the staff at PACE CNY and The Nottingham for their care and friendship. Family and friends are welcome to pay respects Friday, October 6th with visitation at 10:30 a.m. followed by a simple service at noon at the Edward J. Ryan Funeral home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue, Syracuse, NY 1319.
