Sheila D. Louis, 82, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 22, 1943 in Syracuse, Sheila graduated from Onondaga Valley Academy. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of almost 62 years, Richard, and their three children.

She worked at Rochester Shoe store for years and specialized in fitting baby and children's shoes for generations of families.

Sheila was known for her ability to connect with anyone and everyone, leaving a trail of laughter and friendship wherever she went. Over the years her many social activities included Spiritual Renewal Group, Most Holy Rosary Senior Club, swim group at YMCA and Home Bureau among many others.

She loved social gatherings with extended family and friends and was the keeper of all the stories and matriarch of the family. Sheila was exceptionally close to her many cousins and had fond memories of childhood summers at Dwyer family camp on Lake Ontario

She is predeceased by her parents William & Rose, brothers Robert and Dennis, and son-in-law Jimmy.

Sheila is survived by her husband Richard, loving daughters Laurie (Bill), Judy (Jimmy), Tina and brother, Tim.

She had a great sense of humor and exquisite taste. She was generous and donated time and money to many charitable causes, especially in her later years. She was an exceptionally kind and caring woman. She will be very missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday August 7, 2025 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary. Calling hours will be on Wednesday August 6, 2025 from 4 - 6 pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home. Burial in Valley Cemetery.
