Sara Marie Morgan, 38, of Syracuse, New York passed away on Monday, October 3 after a short illness.

She was predeceased by her father, William Reese Morgan; maternal grandparents Mary and Elmer Hovan, and paternal grandparents William and Anne Morgan.

She is survived by her mother, Rose Marie Hovan Morgan; brother, W. Michael Morgan; Uncle Ed Hovan; Uncle John (Nancy) Hovan, and cousins Edward (Michelle) Hovan, Lisa Grabowski, Kurt (Lisa) Hovan, Jack Hovan, Andrea (Adam) Tigue, and Amanda Ward.  Sara loved traveling to Disney World, watching SU games with her father, and spending time with her family.

The Morgans would like to thank the outstanding critical care team and nurses in the ICU at Upstate Community Hospital for their compassion and care for Sara.

The Morgans are also very appreciative of the work of the staff at the Bellevue group home.

Sara was a special little girl to all of us and was born to show us how to love and appreciate. Sara is free from all her earthly burdens and is saying "I love you" to everyone. Jesus gives a special welcome to special needs children. Sara is in the best hands ever.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 11, at 10:30 am at Most Holy Rosary Church with visitation prior from 9:15 to 10:15.  Private burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
