Rosetta "Marcia" Monic, 50, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving sons, mother, siblings, and family.  Marcia was the daughter of Monica E. Bivens and Gladestone "Earl" Monic.  Marcia was a native of Georgetown, Guyana in South America.  She emigrated to the United States in 1974 and resided in Syracuse, NY.  She is a graduate of Nottingham High School and attended Bryant and Straton College for Medical Administration.  Marcia was a residential counselor over 14 + years at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation, as well as private duty, Home Health Care.  She was devoted and dedicated to her work.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher James and Fernando O'Selmo, not only her, mother but her best friend, Monica E. Bivens, three sisters, Cecilia (Stephen) Vallery, Jazmine Bivens, Isis Bivens and four brothers, Ralph "Mickey" Monic, Paul Moore, William Bivens III, and Jake Bivens, 17 nieces and nephews, and 1 great nephew.

She was a kind and gentle soul that was loved by all.

Funeral service will be held on July 15, 2022 at 11am the Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
