Robert L. Smith, 80, of Syracuse passed away at home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  Bob was retired from Niagara Mohawk after over 40 years of service.  He was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary and a life-long Syracuse resident.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, his weekly golf leagues, annual trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach with his friends and especially enjoyed a good clambake.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Barbara in 2012.  He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Danielle), Christopher and Matthew (Christy), 4 grandchildren, Kaelan and Kelsey, and Lincoln and Sloane, brother, James and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at St. Michaels-St. Peters Church, Seneca Tnpk. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Burial will be private in Valley Cemetery.
