Robert J.  DeMong, 94, of Syracuse, NY passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021.  He was born in Syracuse, son of the late, Edward and Kathleen DeMong.  Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed by Niagara Mohawk for over 30 years.  He enjoyed gambling in the casinos and loved fishing, hunting and watching his westerns on TV.

Along with his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Quattroapane) DeMong, his son, Gary DeMong and several brothers and sisters.  Robert is survived by his son, Joseph (Kathleen Barry), of Camillus, daughter in law, Mirielle DeMong of Syracuse, NY, three grandchildren, Andrew, Kathleen and Michael DeMong, three great grandchildren, Lily Fancher and Zachary and Ryan DeMong, his brother, Richard (Barbara) DeMong from Fulton, NY, his sister, June Piazza of Syracuse, NY and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10am at St. Patrick's Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave.  Calling hours will be from 4 to 6pm on Wednesday at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
