Richard E. Boisseau "Okie", 70, of Syracuse passed away November 20, 2021.

Born December 5, 1950 in Syracuse, NY to the late Robert & Arlene Boisseau. He was a graduate of West Genesse High School before going on to serve in the NAVY during the Vietnam War. Okie took great pride in his service to his country and received many medals and commendations. He spoke often of his time spent on the USS Shangri-La (CVS-38). Okie was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He retired from Carrier Corporation after 20 years. Okie was an avid classic car aficionado, NASCAR, enjoyed fishing, and loved Corvettes including his own 1967 Convertible Corvette.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Okie is survived by his sister, Marcia (Stanley) DeCook, nephews, Eric and Brian, great-nieces, Brianna & Rayne and the extended nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday November 24, 2021 at 12:30 pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse. Family will receive friends and relatives from 11:30-12:30 prior to the funeral. Burial with military honors will be held at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
