Peter A Congel passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 83. He was born in Syracuse, NY on April 30, 1939 to the late Anthony and Francis Congel. Pete was a graduate of North High School in Syracuse, NY and worked as a manager for a local grocery store, eventually retiring from the New York State Fair in the security office. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and was a communicant at St Patrick/St Brigids church.

Pete was predeceased by his wife, Anne B. Congel, his infant daughter, Frances and his parents.

Pete is survived by his children Maureen Paduano, Patricia Bloom (Tyler), Anne Marie Orcutt (Doug), Kathleen Congel (John Dalgety), Colleen Congel (Dan McIntyre), and Tony Congel (Erin); grandchildren Ryan Bloom (Melanie), Morgan Bloom (Ryder), Eric Orcutt (Kiran), Brittany Orcutt, Jack and Maggie Dalgety, Mairead, Aine and Seamus McIntyre, Brayden and Emmett Congel and great grandson Andrew Bloom.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pete's memory may be made to St Patrick's Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204. Calling hours will be at St Patrick's Church on Lowell Ave in Syracuse, NY on Saturday December 3rd from 9:00-10:00AM directly followed by a funeral mass at 10:00AM and burial at Assumption Cemetery.
