Patricia Elaine Donegan, age 80 of Marcellus, NY passed away on Friday March 14, 2025.

Born on November 24, 1944 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Pat spent the majority of her life in Syracuse. Patricia is survived by her beloved four sons: Tom (Susan), Joseph, Sean (Colleen), and Martin (Kari). Her 11 grandchildren; Michaela (Jeff de Nijs), Lily, McKenna, Ryan, Mitchell, Sophia, Redd, Ella, Kendall, Levi, and Kinsley. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Patrick Donegan (2025) and sister Carolyn Ann Dougherty (2021).

Patricia attended Most Holy Rosary School and in 1968 married the love of her life Thomas Donegan. Patricia was a dedicated, loving and caring home maker, mother, grandmother and wife. She and Tom raised four boys in the Valley neighborhood of Syracuse before moving to Marcellus NY in 2014. As a young mother Patricia enjoyed her annual trips for her children's sporting events. Traveling to Florida, Montreal and Ireland on several occasions and her back home trips to Carbondale, Pennsylvania.

As her family grew, she became the neighborhood mom and looked out for many of her children's rambunctious friends. A deeply faithful person, Pat attended St. James and St. Michaels Church in Syracuse.

Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking and shopping for her cherished grandchildren. Patricia was an avid reader and had many talents in the kitchen. Pat and her late husband, Tom, spent nearly 15 years camping at Sunset Park with their entire family. Patricia looked forward to the times where her family could be together and never missed an opportunity to celebrate the big and small moments with her loved ones.

Patricia was a kind, gentle soul who never complained and would make sure everyone's needs were met, often putting herself last. A truly selfless person at heart. Her infectious laugh, caring heart, and delicious dishes will be remembered by all who knew her.

Patricia was predeceased by Thomas in February 2025. A joint mass for both Tom and Pat will be held March 28th at 11:00am at St. Michael St Peter Church with a Christian burial to follow at Valley Cemetery. Family and Friends are welcome.
