September 24, 1943 – December 9, 2024
Pat a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024. She was a woman of many passions, including travel, cooking, reading, shopping, movies, and dining out. Pat was always up for an adventure, a picnic in the snow, ice skating, swimming in the lake. She loved attending car shows with her husband Bob, shopping with her sisters and her daughters. Pat always enjoyed being close to the water, she even owned her own sailboat as a young woman.
Following her retirement from the telephone company she pursued a lifelong dream and received her degree in nursing and another in criminal justice. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and inspired her to join the Jesuit mission in Oregon for two years.
She is survived by her husband, Bob DeNeve, children; Kristin (E.J.) von Schaumburg, Martin Stapleton, Matthew Stapleton and Jennifer (Steve) Glowacki, four step-children; Margaret (Craig), Becky (Jim), Jane (Jerry), and Jeffrey, 9 grandchildren; Andrew, Nicholas, Emily (Brandon), Katherine, Alexis, Mackenzie, Megan, Steven and Zachary, 3 great grandchildren; Aria, Brenton, and Sebastian, siblings; Elaine Crough, Dennis (Fran) Crough, Tim Crough, Nellie Hurley, Katie (Jim) Kelly (Jim) and Maggie (George) Gailey; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home. A Catholic Mass will be held on December 17, 2024, at 8:30 am at St. Charles Church. Burial to follow at the Veteran's Cemetery.
