Michael P. Sheehan, 79,  of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at UpState Community Hospital.  Mike was born on Oct. 6, 1945, and grew up on Tipp Hill (Syracuse, NY) where he attended St. Patrick's School until senior year when he graduated from Sacred Heart High School.  He was a member of the US Army Reserves and had a long career at Niagara Mohawk, beginning as a meter reader and retiring almost 40 years later as a hot stick lineman.  The next 14 years found Mike driving a Baldwinsville School bus, quickly becoming his favorite pastime.

Mike enjoyed skiing, fishing aboard the "Kathleen" and of course, golf.  He loved the game of lacrosse, becoming a dedicated fan of the LeMoyne, Cornell and Mercyhurst College Programs.

He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Marion (Lancaster) Sheehan, sister, M. Christine O'Connell, and brother, Timothy Sheehan.  Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen (Ganley) Sheehan, brother, Daniel (Donna) Sheehan, 31 nieces and nephews, 50 great nieces and nephews—all who own a piece of his heart, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 1pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Calling hours will be prior from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date.
