Maureen E. "Reenie" Walker, 76, of Marietta, formerly of Fairmount, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a proud graduate of St. Anthony's of Padua in 1962, Powelson Business Institute, and Columbia College where she earned a business degree in 2003.  Reenie retired from Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2005.    She was an avid SU and Bills fan; enjoyed traveling and gardening and loved her grandchildren and being on Otisco Lake.

Reenie was predeceased by her husband, Jack in 1996, and her parents, John and Helen Shields.  She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Mike) Farneth, Megan (Dennis) Ruane, and Kelly-Anne (Andrew) Moen, 5 grandchildren; Bailey, Jack and Maddie Moen,  and Jake and Kaelyn Farneth, siblings; Michael (Marie) Shields, and Kate (Andrew) Connery, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Rosie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 10am at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Reenie's funeral will be availble via live stream if you are unable to attend in person. It will be available at 10am on Thursday June18th on Holy Family's website's main page: www.holyfamilysyr.org . Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Syracuse, NY 13219.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
