Mary Teresa (Hanlon) Stack, 90, of Syracuse, NY passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born on April 27, 1933 in Listowel, County Kerry Ireland and arrived in the United States in 1952 where she settled in Syracuse, NY. She was retired from the Local Union 210 Service Employees after 25 years.  Mary was known for her quick wit and Irish humor.  She enjoyed SU basketball, craft shows, walking, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Edward F. Stack, daughter, Mary K. Stack, and sister, Elizabeth Sullivan and her parents, Thomas and Mary Hanlon.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Stack- Polakiewicz, Thomas (Cathy) Stack, Eileen (Brian Sankey) ) Stack-Corsette and James (Vicky) Stack, brothers, Joseph (Mary) Hanlon of Co. Kerry Ireland, five grandchildren, Shannon (Scott) Winters, Thomas Stack Jr., Marissa Stack, Jack Polakiewicz, and Liam Stack.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception; 259 E. Onondaga St. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Burial will be private.
