Margaret P. "Peggy" Welch, 94, of Syracuse, New York passed away on October 20,2022 peacefully surrounded by family at St Camillus. Peggy was the daughter of Frederick J. Price and Jessica Dowdle Price of Oswego, New York. Peggy was born in 1928 and graduated from Most Holy Rosary High School. She was employed at New York Telephone where she met her husband, Thomas C. Welch Sr.

She was predeceased by Tom, 28 years ago, after nearly 40 years of marriage.  Peggy was also predeceased by a sister, Helen Mary Price, four brothers, Dr. Frederick Price, Thomas Price, Paul Price and Francis Dowdle Price. Peggy is survived by her six children, Thomas (Kim) Welch Jr, Theresa (Jack) Armstrong, George (Lori) Welch, Mark (Donna) Welch, Mary (Richard) Vadnais, Patricia Ward, eighteen grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy was also very talented at stained glass and created several pieces showing her pride in her Irish heritage. She enjoyed summer at her camp on Chaumont Bay. She loved to fish and watch the dancing diamonds on the bay. Peggy was a communicant and founding member of St Ann's Church Syracuse. She was a devoted Catholic who loved her family dearly. She took such joy in each one of her family members accomplishments and was always willing to guide and praise.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the 2nd floor staff at St Camillus for their loving care through COVID and into her final days.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10am at St. Ann's Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd.  Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4 to 6pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Most Holy Rosary Church or St. Ann's Church.
