McMahon
Dec 10, 1951 — Oct 5, 2026
Syracuse
Linda Fish McMahon, 74, of Syracuse, New York, passed away following a brief illness on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Linda spent her life in Syracuse and was a proud graduate of St. Anthony of Padua High School. She worked for many years as an ophthalmic technician before staying home to raise her children. Later, she worked for many years at Huntington Family Center, where she served in a variety of capacities.
Linda will be remembered for her quick wit and strong convictions. Everyone who knew Linda recognized that she did not suffer fools gladly, but she was also a loyal friend and a fierce defender of those she loved. She was never afraid to speak her mind and was deeply devoted to her family and friends.
Linda found great joy in her daily crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Linda treasured her summer vacations along the shores of Lake Ontario. Most of all, Linda cherished the time she spent with the love of her life, Joe, and with her children and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Agatha Fish; her siblings, Daniel, John, Deborah, and Jeffrey; and her granddaughter, Stella Giannino.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph; her children, Honora Marceau (Rene), Colin McMahon, and Nell Giannino (Thomas); her brother, Marty Fish; her grandchildren, Adrien, Oliver and Gabriel Marceau and Thomas, Hazel and Cecilia Giannino, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Rosary Church in Syracuse on Friday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m., with a private burial to follow.
