Linda L. Wallace Abbott (Charles), 78, died peacefully at home in Port St. Lucie, Florida on September 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family who never left her side.

Linda is survived by her husband, Anthony Abbott, her daughter Kristin (Martin) Ryan, her brother Philip Vanderbilt, her bonus daughters, Kellie (Warren) Cox and Jennifer (Eric) Clos, as well as 4 grandchildren Riley, Mallory, Sydney & Bryson who affectionately called her Nana. Linda is also survived by her former husband, John Charles, several cousins, nieces, nephews and long-time friends. She was predeceased by her much loved parents, Albert Wallace and Elsie (Farrington) Edwards, whom she dearly missed.

Linda was born on November 13, 1942 in Syracuse, NY. She was a 1961 graduate of North Syracuse High School. She attended Auburn Community College & SUNY Brockport.  Linda was a stay at home mom for many years until entering the workforce. She was a beloved receptionist with Blitman & King Law Firm for 14 years.

Linda was loving, kind and funny. Her genuine positivity was beyond measure and she had the gift to encourage others and make them feel so special.  The family has received an outpouring of support and stories of how much she touched their hearts.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on October 1, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 216 Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY. Calling hours will be held on September 30, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse, NY.  Linda will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Crissy Marsh from the bottom of their hearts. She was not only Linda's dialysis nurse, but she became a part of her family.
