Lee Ackerman, 41, died peacefully at home on August 22, 2021 after a courageous 7 year battle with the rare disease Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) cancer. Lee was born on Tipperary Hill, Syracuse NY. He graduated from CNS High School in 1997, and Radford University in 2004, after which he moved to Portland, OR. Lee worked as a welder/machinist at Vigor Industrial on the Willamette River. Lee was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, comics, and BMX Free-style riding. He cherished spending time on healthy pursuits: biking and bike building, hiking, camping, gaming, and keeping a peaceful mindset. Lee loved live music (he was awarded an all access pass for concert stage construction in Portland). He loved his dogs, loyal companions Floyd & Bear, who had the privilege of spending many wonderful years with him.
Lee is survived by his parents, Maureen and George Ackerman, his sister Jenny Ackerman, his devoted fiancé, Caroline Radulski, and his large extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and a paternal aunt.
Calling hours will be held from 10am-12pm followed by a noon Mass of Christian burial on Fri., Sept.10, 2021in St. Patrick's Church 216 N. Lowell Ave. Burial will be private.
The family would like to thank Lee's extended family and dedicated friends, who along with his medical team, provided expert care for Lee over the past several years.
