Kenneth A. Cooper Sr, 83, of South Onondaga, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2020 at home surrounded by family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (McLaughlin), his son, Kenneth Cooper Jr. and sons-in-law, David Linton & John Barnum Jr.

Ken was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran and a member of DC4 Local Union 31 for over 50 years where he served on the executive board as financial secretary.

He is survived by a son, Kevin Cooper of Syracuse; daughters, Patricia (Joe) Zappala, Susan Linton, Carol Cooper, Colleen Barnum of Syracuse, Kerri (James) Rossiter of Marcellus and Kathleen Cooper of South Onondaga, as well as 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday June 20, 2020 at 10am at St. Michael's Church, 4782 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215. Calling hours will be held Friday June 19, 2020 from 4-7pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13219. Burial will be private.
