Katherine "Kathy" (McCauley) Crane, 81, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy began her career as a secretary with AT&T before later working at St. Agnes Cemetery. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. She made everyone she encountered feel like they had known her for years. She was deeply loved by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Betty McCauley, and her brother, Michael McCauley.

Kathy is survived by her husband, James R. Crane; her children, Jamie Snyder, Dawn (Snyder) Altmeyer, and Thea (Crane) O'Neill; her seven grandchildren; her siblings, Sharon (Don) Boyle and Dan McCauley; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Calling hours will be held at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., immediately prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
