June (Powers) McNamara, 89, from Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 20th, 2021. A graduate of St. Lucy's High School, June was a life long resident of Syracuse NY.

June relished her time spent with her children, extended family and friends. She was blessed with a large, loving family.

June was predeceased by her parents:  Donald and Genevieve Powers, her husband, James D. McNamara;  daughter, Denise Garver; infant son, Kevin; and sister, Patricia Berresford.

June is survived by her 5 children: James (Patricia) McNamara, Theresa (James) Nichols, Donald (Marilyn) McNamara, June/Mickey (Patrick) DeSantis and Patricia McNamara; sisters-in-law, Dolores Wickes and Linda McNamara; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

The family would like to thank Sedgwick Heights Assisted Living staff for their excellent care of June over these past few years.

Edward J. Ryan and Sons Funeral Home, and St. Patrick's Church are assisting June's immediate family with final arrangements. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Due to Covid-19, a family only memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (or your favorite charity) in memory of Mrs. June McNamara.
