Julia P. (Kennedy) O'Keeffe, formerly of 135 Sheraton Road in Syracuse, passed away on December 9th.  Julia was born in Knockfune Co. Tipperary Ireland on April 15, 1928, the youngest child of James and Julia Kennedy and was predeceased by 8 sisters and brothers.  Julia immigrated to the United States in the early 1950's and was employed by General Electric in Liverpool.  She married Jeremiah F. O'Keeffe on Jan. 15, 1955.  Julia and Jerry were happily married for 43 years until Jerry's passing on Sept. 18, 1998.

Julia was a long standing member of St. Ann's Church and the Onondaga Hill Senior Center, and she enjoyed bowling, gardening and most especially sharing her Irish wit and jokes.  She also took great pride in her American citizenship.

Julia is survived by loving nieces and nephews in Ireland and in the Central New York community, as well as long time friends Michael & Colleen Hedges.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held December 21, 2020 at 10am at St. Ann's Church, 4461 Onondaga Blvd. A calling hour will be held from 9-10am prior to the mass.  Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Ann's Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13219.  Kindly remember Julia, "when Irish eyes are smiling."
