Joshua J. Griffith, 36, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on August 19, 2026.

Josh had a deep love for animals and dedicated 20 years of his life to caring for them while working at DeWitt Veterinary Medical Center. He was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and enjoyed music and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Above all, Josh cherished his family and the time he spent with those he loved.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Helen Raphael.

Josh is survived by his children, Jaxon and McKaelynn; his mother, Michele Nendza; his father, James Griffith III; his brother, Phillip Griffith; his grandparents, Ronald and Margaret Nendza; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse, NY. A service will follow at 6 p.m.

Burial will be private.
