Jerry "Murph" Slater, 66, of Syracuse, was called home Thursday, October 26, 2023.  Jerry was a dispatcher for Rapid Response, following many years as a supervisor at Camillus Branch of AAA.  Murph was an avid sports fan, especially of S.U. and the NY Mets.

Murph had legions of friends from FL to NY. He had incredibly wonderful people skills. He was a friend to anyone in need and loyal to all he knew.

Murph was predeceased by his parents, Jerry and Teresa (Quigley) Slater. He is survived by numerous cousins.

His funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10am at St. Patrick's St. Brigid's Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave., Syracuse.  Burial will be private in St. Agnes Cemetery.
