Jane Lannon Sweeney, 92, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Saturday November 23, 2019. Jane was born and raised in Binghamton, NY before moving to Syracuse. She enjoyed her friends, bridge games and golfing at Bellevue Country Club where she was a longtime member. Jane was a volunteer at Chadwick House and the Oxford Inn. She was also a Communicant of St. Ann's Church in Syracuse. Jane will be forever remembered for her baking and always had freshly baked cookies and pies in the house. She did all this while raising five sons. She was tiny but mighty.

Jane is predeceased by her infant daughter, Joan Marie; parents, Leo and Jenny; brother, Robert and sister-in-law, Marie Sweeney.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Walter; 5 sons, Vincent (Marbeth), Robert (Mary), Richard, David (Mary Beth), Kevin (Rose); 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10:30am at St. Ann's Church,  4471 Onondaga Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13219. The family will receive friends and relatives at church from 9:00am-10:30am prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff on the 1st and 4th floor of Iroquois Nursing Home who treated  Jane with such love and respect.
