Jane Webster Evans, 67, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully at home with her husband, Ched by her side.  Jane had a wonderful laugh, which the children of Onondaga  Road Elementary enjoyed for the ten years she served as an aide.

"She loved her family fiercely, was super sassy, totally hip, and knew all the latest beats."

She had a flare for gardening, home decorating, art, refinishing furniture and keeping her husband in line.  She was often seen chatting, most likely about books, which she loved to read.

Jane was predeceased by her father, George Webster.  She is survived by her husband of nearly 38 years, Ched; daughter, Darby (Jordan) Goldberg, grandson, Arthur Evans Goldberg, son, Tim Evans, and daughter, Jane (Adam) Geier; mother, Dorothy Webster; eleven siblings, their spouses and scores of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jane was "Someone who delighted in our joys, and comforted us in our sorrows."

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 12:45 to 4:00pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Burial will be private in Vinalhaven, Maine, in the Flagg family cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's memory to Crouse Hospital; 736 Irving Avenue Syracuse, NY 13210 for their wonderful care and compassion.
