George A. Kogut, 92, of Syracuse died January 3 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. George worked for the A&P warehouses for 21 years and retired from the railroad after 19 years.

An avid hunter and fisherman, George is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret (Peg), his daughter, Victoria and her husband, Donald Kozera and his grandchildren, Jacob (Rachel) and Rachael (Roger). He also leaves behind his special goddaughter, Mary Alice Walrath and her husband, John as well as several nieces and nephews.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, services through Edward J. Ryan Funeral Home will be private.
