Elizabeth S. Sharkey, 90, of Syracuse passed away peacefully Monday August 30, 2021 at her favorite place in the world Ramona Beach on Lake Ontario, surrounded by people who loved her.

Betty was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary before going to work at the phone company. She went on to be a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Betty enjoyed spending her winters in New Smyrna Beach with her husband and loved her time at the lake. She led a life well lived and was loved by all.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years Francis T. Sharkey and her 4 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Pat (John) Clark, a son, Thomas Sharkey as well as 3 granddaughters who she adored.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday September 3, 2021 at 1 pm at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Avenue, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Samaritan Center, 215 N State St, Syracuse, NY 13203.

A special thanks to all her friends who made her life so enriched especially her Ramona Beach Family whom she cherished.
