Dorothy L. Reap, 84, of Syracuse passed away on April 3, 2019.  Dorothy was a kind woman, who greeted everyone with a smile.  She began her career as an Executive Secretary at General Electric in Syracuse. As her family grew, she left her position to be home full time with her children. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments.  She enjoyed sewing, genealogy and spending time with her friends and family.

Dorothy was a devout Catholic.  Early on she was a member and officer of the Sacred Heart Church Altar and Rosary Society. In her retirement years, she was most proud of her position as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida where she and her husband resided during the winter months.

Dorothy is p redeceased by her husband of 60 years Robert Reap; parents, Loren and Mabel (Wisecarver) La Beef; brothers, Kenneth, Charles, and William LaBeef and sisters, Erma Ahern and Shirley Losito.  She is s urvived her children , Cathleen (Patrick) Reilly of Rochester, Patrick (Lynn) Reap of Marcellus, Sharon (Timothy) Lazore of Cicero and Bob (Katherine) Reap of Baldwinsville, NY, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10am at St. Patrick's Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave., Syracuse.  Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10am prior to mass at the church.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Baldwinsville, NY
