David D. Kleberg II, 86, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully Thursday April 27, 2023 after a brief illness.

Born in Syracuse in 1936 to the late David and Agnes Kleberg. He was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary. David attended St. Bonaventure before coming home to join the family business at the Karamelkorn Shop. He retired from Auer & Co. as salesman after many years. David served the Air Force in France and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed golf, watching the masters and was a fan of SU sports.

David was predeceased by his parents, a brother, John and his sister, Karen Peters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol Shanahan Kleberg, a daughter, Christine Kleberg, son David (Mary), sister, Lois Arena, grandchildren David Dean IV and Elena Rose Kleberg as well as nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 2, 2023 at noon at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave. Calling hours will be from 10am-12pm at church prior to the mass. Burial will be private.
