Charlie "Chuck" Bitner, 61, of Camillus passed away Monday August 30, 2021 surrounded by family.

Charles enjoyed visiting his parents camp in the Thousand Islands, his nephews camp, fishing. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills. Charlie struggled for 40 years with drugs and alcohol before the light switch came on and he died sober and spreading the message to others in need. He learned to treat people the way he wanted to be treated. Don't feel sorry for him but think of the good times and the times he made you laugh. He was grateful for his neighbors, friends and family that looked out for him and he considered all of them a part of him.

Charlie is predeceased by his parents, Charles & Catherine and sisters, Elizabeth Loperfido and Sharon Bitner.

He is survived by sisters, Victoria (Robert) Quimby and Patty Bitner of Auburn, Trudy Bitner of Syracuse as well as many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
