Cathy S. Vang, 41, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, following a hard fought battle with cancer.  She was born in Gloucester, MA, but spent most of her life in Syracuse. She had a passion for living life to the fullest and anyone who has ever met her will tell you that she is the most caring person.  Although, not having any children of her own, she became a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews.  She was the life of any party and enjoyed good times with family and friends.

With her passing, she has left a huge void in our lives and in our hearts.  We take great comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.  Cathy is survived by her mother, 3 brothers and 3 sisters and an abundance of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Upstate Cancer Center and Hospital for all their care and compassion.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 8th from 12 to 3 p.m. at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse. Service will be held from 3 to 4pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
