Catherine Rentz Seibert, 100, of Syracuse passed away peacefully at home December 6, 2023.

Kay was born September 7, 1923 in Oneida, NY to the late Frank and Ann Seibert. She worked at Niagara Mohawk Power Corp for 35 years. Kay served on the Board of Directors of the Power Federal Credit union for 21 years and was a past president. She was an active member of the CNY Cat Coalition where she served as a board member for 8 years. Kay enjoyed spending time placing healthy abandoned cats in loving homes. She was an avid golfer and was also on the Ski patrol throughout CNY. Kay was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua where she served as a member of the parish council.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 2-4 pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home with a prayer service immediately following. Burial will be private.
