Catherine Muhl, 75 of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022.  Catherine was born on December 9, 1947, to the late Francis and Marion "Sis" Muhl.  She was a 1965 graduate of St. Patrick's High School, and Bryant and Stratton School of Business in 1968.

"Nana" as she was affectionately known to countless family members, loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether at a sporting event, a school function or her favorite, a backyard pool party on a sunny day.  Catherine enjoyed cooking, crafting, knitting and reading.  She also enjoyed her many years working at Rothschild Early Childhood Center as an infant-toddler teacher and an assistant to the directors.

Catherine is predeceased by her sister, Mary Fran Swierk.  She is survived by her daughter, Kaitlin Muhl, her niece, Marie (Richard) Barton and nephew, Frank Swierk, her granddaughters, Emersyn and Addisyn and her great nieces and nephews Jordan, Jada, Julianna, Ryan, Paige and Teagan.  She is forever in our hearts and her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on through all that were blessed to have known her.

A prayer service will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, at 6:30pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service from 4-6:30pm at the funeral home.
