Brian Robert Timmins, 78, passed away on Aug. 22, 2026, at Francis House in Syracuse, NY surrounded by loved ones. Brian was born on July 15, 1948, in Syracuse, NY, the son of Michael and Helen (Keefe) Timmins. After graduating from Most Holy Rosary in 1966, Brian went on to serve in the U.S. Army National Guard, honorably discharged in 1976. After a successful career in sales and management, Brian spent his retirement years working as a bus driver and bus attendant for children with special needs in the West Genesee Central School District. Brian was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Brian was an avid golfer, reader, and sports enthusiast. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Brian always put everyone’s needs before his own and will forever be remembered for his kindness, silly sense of humor, and his love of the NY Giants, NY Yankees, and all things S.U.

Brian is survived by his 5 children, Scott (Tracy) Timmins, Laurie (David) Sloane, Michael (Heather) Sweeting, Kimberly (John) Davis, and Meghan (Pete) Pessagno; 14 grandchildren Rachael (Brennan), Abigail, Benjamin, Noah, Theo, Noah, Ellie, Carson, Scarlett, Caden, Bryce, Lily, Bennett, and Henry; 2 great grandchildren, Braxton and Benson; 5 siblings, John (Rose), Edward (Helen), Michael (Judy), Kathleen, William (Bernadette), and dozens of nieces and nephews. Brian is predeceased by his parents and 3 siblings.

Calling hours will be held at Edward J. Ryan Funeral Home on Oct. 2, 2026 from 4 to 6pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at St. Mary’s of the Lake in Skaneateles, with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery and a reception to follow.
