Brian M. Cavanaugh, 66, passed away on March 1, 2021, at home while battling cancer.  He had many adoring nieces and nephews who appreciated how much he enriched their lives.  Brian had the most generous heart, kind spirit and was affectionately compared to "Uncle Buck" by his favorite nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Tommy, Johnny, and Clarky Cavanaugh; who were all legends in their own minds.  Brian is survived by his loving sister, Dr. Sandra (Warren) Chase of Palm Beach, daughter, Lisa of Camillus; and nieces and nephews; Nancy (Mark) Whitney, Elizabeth and Spencer Rice, Karen (Mark) Eskin, Kelly (Christopher) Hoffman, Kevin Cavanaugh, Caroline Cavanaugh, Mia and Connor, Jaqueline (Zerah) Ali, Kayleigh Cavanaugh.

His funeral service will be at 6pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Syracuse, NY.  Calling hours are 4-6pm prior to the service.  Burial will be private.
